Saamuhik Deeparadhana

Organizing Karthika Deepothsavam programmes by the students of Vidyarthi Vikas Kendras has been a very delightful annual event. They take part in Saamuhik Karthika Deeparadhana. They encourage the women to arrange the Deepas in the shapes of Shiv Linga, Swastika and Omkaram which are marked in the premises of the temple. Later they all lit the Deepas while reciting Lingashtakam and Deepa Slokam together. The most important thing to be noted here is all the villagers take part in this programme not minding their castes and untouchability.

Ugadi

The students of Vidyarthi Vikas Kendras celebrate Hindu New Year (Ugadi) Utsav in their villages. In the morning, all the boys and girls, having dressed traditionally, go to each and every house and distributed the Ugadi Prasadam (pickle) and wished all of them a happy new year on behalf of Grameena Vikas Sangham. In the evening the speakers explain the significance of Ugadi to all. On this occasion, The Panchanga Sravan will also be held.
