Agriculture |
Agriculture is the base for the growth and economic development of any village. About 90% of families depend on it. But, ever since the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides started, the agricultural lands have become infertile. The agricultural produce is getting contaminated with chemicals. These agricultural products in turn are severely affecting public health. Poverty, agriculture loans with higher interest rates, chemical fertilizers, etc. are weakening the rural agricultural sector. Taking these scenarios into consideration, traditional cow-based agricultural methods must be encouraged to bring back the lost fertility of the soil. Grameena Vikas Sangham (GVS) has decided to encourage cow-based organic farming, which will increase the fertility of the land, improve the economic status of the rural farmers, and develop the dairy industry. |
